Commitment is to pledge oneself to a certain purpose. Commitment can be in Relationship, Partnership, Parenting, Family, Friendship, Career, Socialising and Spirituality.
For most important Commitment in life one must be disciplined, dedicated and determined. Commitment is promise making, promise keeping and promise following. If you don’t keep up the commitment its like promise breaking.
Every person has to be committed in one way or the other in every possible area.
For example, when a person gets up in the morning his/her commitment for the day has to be managed accordingly to their priorities.
Your commitment is valued in every step of your life. It could be you as a child, student, an adult, employee, friend, spouse, parent, citizen of the country and many more. As an individual we all have commitment in life. Yes….. For some commitment level is high, for some its medium and few normal level. However, Level of commitment varies from each individual according to their priorities in life.
For example when we were kids, we were committed to studies. Our parents taught us to study well, so that we will be successful professionals when we grow up. So we did. Now when we have grown and as an employee we are more committed to job,
Which is no choice commitment that’s because all of us need money for survival. Do you all agree with me ? In this case, we force ourselves and go to work and earn. But there are other areas of our life that we tend to ignore.
It could be Fitness or Diet patterns, Finances, Marriage, Children, Happiness, Goals, Dreams, Sports, Travelling, Higher education and Community. These areas we do not want to come out of our comfort zone and take responsibility and commit to it. We often look for easy solutions, quick fixes to achieve something. We don’t realise that for anything in life, we got to pay the price first and reap the fruit after some period which is not overnight but with considerable amount of time, money and action.
Commitment comes from your thought, attitude, belief and self decision. When you make any decision in life basically you think: What you want? Why you want? How you want? When you want? What you want is your GOAL, Why is your PURPOSE, How is your PLAN, When is your TARGETED TIME. Once this is crystal clear, you will be seriously committed. Come what may you will achieve what you want only when committed 100%. You get 100% successful result.
Commitment starts from Long term goal .But it has to be divided in such a way that it can be done simpler method which is short term goal to monthly goal to weekly goal to daily goals which are realistic and measurable. Commit your actions everyday, the result would be STUNNING.
As I mentioned earlier, Commitment is a promise. In case, if you are committing to somebody, its always better that you always keep up the commitment or else by giving false commitments, you are creating a bad image of yourself to others.
This particular incident will spread like a wildfire through the wind. Don’t give such chances for others. Be cautious before you commit anybody.
